Chris Rudd, PE: Director of EngineeringGeorgia Department of Transportation (This event is 0.5 PDHs)

Christopher Rudd is a native of northwest Florida and a graduate of the University of Florida. Chris began his career with the Florida Department of Transportation working with the Pavement Evaluation Section of the State Materials Office.Chris relocated to Atlanta in 2005 and began working with GDOT in the office of Roadway Design. In addition to being responsible for the design management of projects assigned to the office of Roadway Design, Chris was involved with other department initiatives including the development of the P6 PDP project schedule templates and serving as co-author of the Practical Design Guide.
From there, Chris became the State Design Policy Engineer for the Georgia Department of Transportation. In this role he was responsible for, among other things, the management of GDOT construction standards and details and overall design policy for GDOT including his role as editor in chief of the Design Policy Manual.
Currently, Chris serves as the Director of Engineering for the Georgia Department of Transportation.
